Analysis of Stress Factors of Occupational Therapy in Nursing Facilites : Focusing on Satisfaction and Working Environment

Abstract

Objective : By examining the effects of satisfaction and working environment on stress for occupational therapists working in nursing facilities, it was intended to provide basic data on human management of nursing facilities and strategies for positive change and improvement of mental health of occupational therapists. Methods : For 6 weeks from june to july 2023, 160 occupational therapists working in nursing facilities located in 7 cities and provinces were conducted. descriptive statistics were conducted for general characteristics, Pearson correlation analysis was conducted for the correlation between stress, general characteristics, working environment, and satisfaction, and multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify factors affecting stress. Results : The results of this study were, first, There was a significant difference in stress according to the economic level and work experience of occupational therapists in nursing facilities. second, the stress of occupational therapists in nursing facilities was significantly correlated with satisfaction, working environment, economic level and work experience. third, working environment and satisfaction were found to have an effect on the stress of work therapists in nursing facilities. Conclusion : It can be seen that the improvement of the working environment and satisfaction can have a positive effect on stress, a mental problem of occupational therapists working in nursing facilities, and these data can be used to apply to human management of nursing facilities.
