Purpose : This study was to find out the effect of oral health and disability on the quality of living of senior citizens with physical disabilities in local communities, as well as how the variables are correlated with each other and how well they explain their causality. Method : The study included 117 senior citizens with physical disabilities in local communities. The questionnaire included questions on the general characteristics of the respondents. For testing, Oral health status assessment (OHAT), WHODAS 2.0, and quality of life (EQ-5D) were used. Additionally, Pearson’s correlation and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were applied. Results : Oral health and disability showed statistically significant correlation with quality of living. The regression analysis indicated significant effect of oral health and disability on quality of living. Among the sub-factors of WHODAS 2.0, self-maintenance and socializing with others exerted the most significant effect. Conclusion : The findings indicate the significant effect of oral health and disability on the quality of living of senior citizens with physical disabilities. In the future, it is hoped that it will be used as a variety of occupational therapy interventions so that people with physical disabilities can maintain their swallowing function and physical health and lead an independent life.

Objective : This study compared the importance and satisfaction of activities of daily living thought by occupational therapists and carer. Methods : This study surveyed 150 occupational therapists working in hospitals and 90 carers of patients receiving occupational therapy at hospitals. The questionnaire was organized based on the contents of activities of daily living included in the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework-3rd Edition (OTPF-3rd Edition), and the results were analyzed using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Results : Keep up the good work items with high importance occupational therapists and high satisfaction of carers were found to be factors such as bathing/showering, dressing, swallowing/eating, feeding, functional mobility, personal hygiene, grooming, care of others, communication management, driving and community mobility, meal preparation, and cleanup. Intensive effort area items with high importance occupational therapists and low satisfaction of carers were found to be factors such as toilet use and hygiene, personal device care, and safety and emergency maintenance. Low priority items with low importance occupational therapists and low satisfaction of carers were sexual activity, care of pets, child rearing, financial management, health management and maintenance, home establishment and management, and shopping. There were no possible overkill items with low importance occupational therapists and high satisfaction. Conclusion : By comparing the importance and satisfaction of occupational therapists and carers for activities of daily living, this study provided the necessary evidence for occupational therapists to consider the priority of treatment when activities of daily living training. It will be possible to improve the satisfaction of patients and carers with occupational therapy by providing more efficient treatment.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to verify the quality level of treatment effect by performing a quality evaluation on the meta-analysis study of non-pharmacological interventions for dementia, and to present convergence research insights on the qualitative improvement of evidence-based practice in the domestic non-pharmacological intervention field in the future. Methods : For literature search, 'dementia' and 'meta-analysis' were selected, and KMbase, KoreaMed, RISS, KISS, and NDLS were used. Methodological quality of meta-analysis papers was analyzed according to the criteria of the AMSTAR evaluation tool. Results : The average score of methodological quality evaluation of meta-analysis papers was 6.16 (SD=1.90), which was average. Looking at the studies individually, there were 17 studies with a moderate level (points 5-8), two studies with a low level (points 0-4), and none of them had a high level (points 9-11). Of the 19 studies, 17 were published in KCI, and 5 Cognitive-based intervention, 4 physical activity intervention , 4 music therapy , 2 aroma therapy, and 1 virtual reality-based intervention, art therapy, recall therapy, and occupational therapy were surveyed. Looking at the frequency of use of the quality evaluation tool, the majority of tools was used ROB (59%), and the rest of tools was used SIGN (12%), PEDro score (12%), RoBANS (12%), and EQI (5%). Conclusion : Meta-analysis research in the field of dementia must be accompanied by the selection of literature to be included in the study and the qualitative verification process of the included research, and the overall research design and process needs to be systematically and rigorously conducted compared to previous methods.

Objective : This study was conducted to identify the differences in occupational balance by gender and age of healthy adults and to show a standardized score for clinical application of Occupational Balance Assessment (OBA). Methods : This study was conducted on 933 healthy adults aged from 20s to 50s. The occupational balance by gender and age was analyzed using the OBA raw data of the study subjects. For data analysis, descriptive statistic, independent sample t-test, one way ANOVA were used. For calculating the OBA standardized score, the Z score, standard score, and percentile rank were calculated in consideration of gender and age. Results : The significant differences were confirmed in several occupation in the three areas of OBA by gender and age(p<.05). First, in the area of time use by gender, there were significant differences in care of others, work, leisure/play, and total score. In the area of occupational frequency, there were significant differences in self-care, care of others, work, and leisure/play. And in the area of occupational characteristics, there was a significant difference in care of others and work. Second, in the area of time use by age, there were significant differences in care of others, education, and leisure/play. In the area of occupational frequency, there were significant differences in care for others, rest/sleep, education, work, leisure/play, and social participation. And in the area of occupational characteristics, there was a significant difference only in work. Finally, based on the difference in occupational balance by gender and age, standardized scores for each of the three areas of OBA were calculated. Conclusion : The difference in occupational balance by gender and age was confirmed for healthy adults aged 20s to 50s by using the OBA. It is expected that OBA will be usefully utilized as an evaluation tool for measuring occupational balance in clinical practice.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to propose a customized accessible service structure for the preventive safety and disaster service information system according to the requirements derivation model proposed in the previous study, and presents an accessibility profile to utilize it. Methods : Through expert group meetings, the framework of customized information system services was derived, and based on the research results of Lee, Ji, and Kim (2020) and focus group interviews, the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) customized service system was derived. Finally, an additional expert group meeting was conducted to derive the accessibility profile, which was revised and supplemented by advice from other expert groups. Results : The structure of utilizing the safety vulnerable accessibility profile was presented so that the safety vulnerable would not have any inconvenience in using the life safety prevention and response information service. This is a framework consisting of an expression layer and an information layer, wherein the expression layer provides information in a way acceptable to the user, and the information layer provides different information content according to the user's situation. The ICF-based safety vulnerable customized service system derived service requirements with a total of 36 codes. Finally, the accessibility profile for the vulnerable was derived from a total of 15 items in three areas: general information, medical information, and accessibility preference information. Conclusion : In this study, a method of customizing services tailored to various specific needs of users was proposed using the ICF classification system. This provided the basis for systematically preparing for a disaster by suggesting a solution considering the situation of various safety vulnerable people in establishing an evacuation plan for the safety vulnerable in the disaster preparation stage.

Objective : This study is to investigate the degree of effect of ADHD children's aggression on the caregiver's mental health literacy and to provide basic knowledge of the caregiver's mental health literacy that can affect ADHD children's intervention in occupational treatment. Methods : It was analyzed through a survey on the caregivers of ADHD children visiting the Child Development Center. In the case of data collection, 155 copies were finally selected and analyzed, excluding 45 copies of the questionnaire of the middle waiver, missing sheet, and refusal to write. The independent variable consisted of aggression of ADHD children, the dependent variable consisted of the caregiver's mental health status, and the control variable consisted of general characteristics. Results : As a result, first, there were significnat differences in metal health literacy of caregivers according to general characteristics in age, duration of occurrence of children, and economic level. Second, there was no significant difference in the mental health status of the caregiver according to the aggression area of ADHD children. Third, there was a significant effect of aggression in ADHD children on the mental health literacy of caregivers. Conclusion : The increase in ADHD children is predicted to increase socio-phenomenologically, and aggression in ADHD children can negatively affect the mental health literacy of caregivers. Therefore, the need for intervention in occupational therapy to alleviate aggression in ADHD children increases, and social support and efforts are needed to improve and restore the mental health literacy of caregivers.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to study of risk factors on depression in cognitive impairment based on ICF : comparison with the young-old and old-old. Among the elderly over 60 years old, this study is to figure out the risk factors on the elderly in early years and the elderly in late years by their age, centering on the elderly with cognitive function decline who have a high probability of progressing to dementia and mild cognitive impairment. Methods : To this end, the panel data from the 7th KLoSA (Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing) were used, and out of 1,039 elderly people with cognitive impairment, 494 young-old people in early years under 75 years old and 545 old-old people over 75 years were selected as the final subjects for analysis. Results : The results of the study are as follows. First, the importance of social activities that have been overlooked has been emphasized on factors that commonly affect the depression of the elderly with cognitive impairment. Second, differentiated approaches by age group were confirmed by the fact that the effective factors of depression vary by age. Conclusion : This study means that the elderly with cognitive impairment, which leads to dementia and mild cognitive impairment, can be identified by age. The study can be used as basic data for prevention and management measures and policy measures for the elderly with cognitive impairment.

Objective : This study explored researches that applied mCIMT to adult stroke patients, evaluated the effect size of mCIMT in improving upper extremity function in stroke patients. In addition, this study was conducted to use it as basic data for selection of the most appropriate treatment method by examining the modulating effect with the treatment application conditions(total restraint hour, total therapy hour, and restraint region). Method : After searching the literatures published from January 2000 to January 2021 using Pubmed, data that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected, and finally 11 randomized controlled trial studies were analyzed. The evaluation tool for upper motor function was the Fugl Meyer Assessment (FMA), and effect size analysis was performed on the experimental group and the control group. Moderation effect analysis was performed to estimate the effect size for each treatment application condition, which is a moderator variable, and the publication error analysis was performed using Egger's regression test. Result : As a result of synthesizing the effects of mCIMT through 11 papers, the experimental group in which mCIMT was applied to Reum showed a larger effect size than the control group (ES=0.975, 95% CI: 0.199～1.751, p=0.004). As a result of analyzing the effect of mCIMT according to treatment application conditions, “total therapy hour” was found to be a significant moderator variable(Qb=11.90, p=0.0006), and a significant larger effect size was found in the treatment time group of less than 30 hours (ES=2.042, 95% CI: 1.227～2.857, R2=64.38%). “total restraint hour”(Qb=0.01, p=0.924) and “restraint region”(Qb=0.59, p=0.441) were not significant moderator varialbes. But in the case of “total restraint hour”, the group with less than 100 hours was found to have a significant large effect size(ES=0.998, 95% CI: 0.065～1.930), and in the case of “restraint region”, the group with limited hands had a significant large effect size(ES=1.110, 95% CI: 0.220～2.000). There was no significant relationship between the effect size and the standard error of 11 articles, indicating that there was no publication bias (bias=0.815, p=0.800). Conclusion : mCIMT is an effective occupational therapy method for improving upper motor function in stroke patients. In addition, when we make up the treatment application conditions of mCIMT, the “total therapy hour” is programmed to be less than 30 hours, the “total restraint hour” is flexibly adjusted according to the “total therapy hour”. Mixed application of methods that restriction of hands and restriction of hands and arms is proposed as an effective method for improving upper motor function in stroke patients.
