Objective : This study aimed to systematically reviewed to identify, evaluate, synthesize the research literature and suggested to the research direction on the effectiveness of occupational therapy using a sensory integration approach. Methods : We analyzed 10 studies that identified the effectiveness of occupational therapy using a sensory integration approach for children and adolescents offering in MEDLINE/PubMed and http://ajot.aotapress.net between 1993 and 2011. Results : The subjects were the sensory modulation disorder and autism spectrum . The different intervention strategies were similar to a previous studies. Intervention dosage was over 20 sessions, 2～3days per week more than 10weeks. Occupational therapy using a sensory integration approach may result in positive outcome in motor performance, behavioral outcomes, academic and psychoeducational outcomes and tried to currently identify the effect of intervention outcomes in sensory processing and occupational performance using the GAS. Conclusion : Clinicians have a minimal idea planing a research design and a evidence running a study.

Objective : This study aimed to understand the experience of taking a bus, investigate successful strategies to overcome the psychological difficulties of people with disabilities. Method : In this study, a phenomenological and hermeneutic approach was used to gain a deeper understanding of the behavior, the language, the process. For participants through interviews and participant observation data were collected. Phenomenological interpretation of the way through technology and to evaluate the results. Result : Ambulatory persons with disabilities in the community have confidence in the bus-independent movement in the community possible. And get on and off the bus at the moment of urgent strategies to use in the bus seats were taken. To cope with unexpected situations like that do not put stress was confirmed. In addition, by bus and go sit on the seat to look at the patient's burden was to. Conclusion : Ambulant disabled people's confidence in the bus had a significant impact on the independent movement. Always on the lookout for falling, and many psychological difficulties and to overcome unforeseen circumstances to predict and know that public transportation could be.

Objective : The study is to suggest basic data for the expansion and the necessity of the occupational therapy at the day care center for infants with disabilities through investigating actual use and satisfaction of parents who use the day care center for infants with disabilities in Daegu․Kyonbuk area. Methods : From May 15 to 29, 2009, 105 parents using the day care center for infants with disabilities were surveyed. Results : Terms of age group, parents using the day care center for infants with disabi -lities are mostly 30s and 40s. In terms of academic background, there were 58% of secondary school graduates and 38.9% of college graduates. Parents with experiencing 3 years of the occupational theory had 37.1%, which held the largest group. 75% of the objects agreed that infants with disabilities received enough occupational therapy, while they pointed out that the financial burden for therapy would be the major factor in the therapy. Conclusion : In order to provide a qualified occupational therapy in accordance with each individual’s purpose at the day care center for infants with disabilities, it would be necessary to expand occupational therapy, to increase the demand for the occupational therapy from parents, and to secure enough number of therapists and financial support from the government and municipalities.

Object : The relationships between the TSQ(Time structure questionnaire) and Well-being were examined. Methods : TSQ and questionnaire about Well-being were executed for 223 university students from April 26th to May 7th, 2010. The questionnaire adapted the item of the TSQ and Korean WHOQOL-BREF, SWLS(Satisfaction with Life Scale), LSES(Life Satisfaction Expectancy Scale), SHS(Subjective Happiness Scale). The questionnaires were distributed directly to the participants. Relativity between the TSQ and questionnaire about Well-being were analyzed using Pearson's correlation analysis. Results : As a result of the relationship between the TSQ and questionnaire about Well -being, overall there was a positive correlation. TSQ(sense of purpose, structured routine, persistence, past orientation) and questionnaire about Well-being showed a statistically significant correlation(p<.05). Conclusion : A structured time use and well-being by investigating the relationship, we were able to see the importance of time management. Currently, clinical occupational therapy focused on performance components, in future, intervention of personal time management to help make ones live well-being.

Objective : We try to show the necessity of crafts and arts comparing visual perception of autism with that of mental retardation using craft programmes. Methods : We applied a visual perception programme after sorting 10 autism and 10 mental retardation according to criteria. A used craft programmes are consulted and produced by specialist who are applying crafts as treatment or have experienced applying crafts. The items included potter, mobile art, wheat flour kneading, clay, corrugated cardboard work and color mix work. We applied the programmes twice a week during 4 weeks and used motor-free visual perception test-third edition(MVPT-3) to investigate the effect before and after treatments. Results : First, craft programmes had effect on both autism and mental retardation. Second, craft programmes had more effect on mental retardation. Conclusion : We could know that craft programmes influenced on visual perceptional development of autism and mental retardation.

This study investigated the relationship between learning strategies and achievements of the students in the department of health science, and differences between higher academic achievers and lower academic achievers in the use of the learning strategies. The results were as follows. First, there was a correlation between academic achievements and self -efficacy and power of execution in the personality area. Second, there was a positive correlation between academic achievements and academic motivation, a negative correlation between academic achievements and avoidnat motivation, in the motivation area. Third. there was a correlation between academic achievements and all 8 factors in the behavior area. In the use of learning strategies, there was a difference found in self-efficacy and the power of execution between the higher academic achievers and the lower academic achievers. It also was found that the lower academic achievers perceived more depression, showed remarkably lower motivation and higher avoidance motivation, than the higher academic achievers. Lastly, the lower academic achievers was lagged behind noticeably compared to the higher academic achievers in the ability of using all factors of the behavior area.

Objective : The purpose of this research was to understand the emotions of disabled in starting relationships with the opposite gender and disclosing experienced events related to starting relationships with the opposite gender. Methods : In order to gain an understanding of experience, emotions and process of people with acquired disability, phenomenological study, a form of qualitative research was used. Data on subjects was collected through in-depth interviews, on-the-scene recording and technical observation diary, etc and were analyzed through Colaizzi's phenomenolo -gical study method. Results : Subjects who had acquired disabilities experienced changes in physical, psycho -logical, social aspects and especially in the course of relationships with the opposite gender. Data from in-depth interviews of 8 subjects were analyzed 6 types of subject themes were derived. 1) Diagnosis of varying psychological reactions. 2) Various psycho -logical reactions of parents and the other gender. 3) Through aggressive support reha -bilitation volition will change. 4) After you have a disability as a lack of social skills. 5) Changes in confidence through rehabilitation. 6) the other gender for the different ideas. Conclusion : This research is valuable in presenting important data in understanding problems and emotions of relationships of people with acquired disabilities with opposite gender. Starting relationships with the opposite gender has more meaning than any other interacting activities in society. Conflicts exist in starting relationships and support programs for various specialists are indispensable.

Purpose : This purpose of this study was to improve the Image of Occupation Therapy for developing profession of Occupation Therapy. Method : The subjects in this study were Dep. of Occupational Therapy Students of University located in　Gwang-ju chonnam. After collecting 340 evaluation forms, 316 analyzed and compared them, excluding unanswered or damaged forms. Conclusion : 1) The Image of Occupation Therapy in Dep. of Occupational Therapy Students(M=3.676) was positively perceived. 2) Factor analysis on instrument was conducted that four constructions of professional, social, devotion, and job images. Among four images of Occupation Therapy , professional image was most highly perceived(M=3.925), which were followed by devotion image(M=3.84), job images(M=3.774), and social image(M= 3.160). 3) There is no statistical difference of Occupation Therapy image between grade levels.

The number of the disabled person had been increased for the industrial accident and the environmental pollution. Especially, developmental disability has the high prevalence rate between 5% and 10% of the whole children. The children with a developmental disability can be treated by the physical therapy, the occupational therapy, the psychology therapy, speech therapy, and art therapy. Visual preception which is function to recognize the external environment through the optic organ could be related to most behaviors on the everyday life. But because the children with disability could not develop the visual-preception enough, they came to have difficulties in executing daily life project. For this reason, it is most important to understand the estimation and the cure on the visual-preception in the pediatric occupational therapy. To improve the visual-preception power, we have many kind of methods including sensory integration, training program for the visual-perception and art-craft program. Particularly, the art-craft which is the representative activity for making something by hands, can be applied to anyone. As the study on the brain has been activated, it was proved that handicraft actives could have an good effect on the brain function and using brain. When the fine motor exercise and more delicate and accurate motion were carried, these motions need the essential help of the visual-perception. So it could be expected that using the repetitive hand function by art-craft makes the brain function improve, when a activity that needs a fine motor exercise and more delicate, accurate motion was carried, It also indicates that the art-craft program has a clear treatment value. Though the intervention between visual-perception development and visual-perception disability have a majority in the field of occupational therapy, there is a few study yet. Therefore, this study tried to look back on the necessity of applying the art-craft program to the children with dis -ability as the prestudy for preliminary validity of the master's thesis.
